Brooke Brown is the Executive Director of the Carson Foundation, a family foundation focused on improving K-12 educational opportunities in the Denver community. Brooke was previously a high school Spanish teacher for 7 years.  Through her work in and commitment to educational improvement and equity, Brooke also co-founded Project VOYCE (Voices of Youth Changing Education) in Denver, an organization that works to engage students in school improvement. She currently serves as the Chair of the Board of the Denver Public Schools Foundation, and Vice-Chair and Campaign Chair of STRIVE Preparatory Charter Schools in DPS.

 

Brooke earned a B.A. in Spanish and Political Science from Boston College, a Master’s degree in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in the School Leadership Program, and a PhD. in Educational Leadership and Innovation from the University of Colorado, Denver.

 

Brown and her husband, Bill, are both proud DPS graduates.  They are the parents of two young girls and reside in Denver.
