The Summer Leadership Institute has three core components that transform students over the course of eight weeks.
Peer-led Training:

Peer-to-peer mentoring - older to younger students, structural reinforcement of curriculum

Opportunites to Use Skills/Community Connections

Job experience/skills

Application of skills in the "real world" through opportunities for community connections (trainings, public speaking engagements, action research).
