Spectacular Growth This Summer

It’s always exciting to witness the transformation that takes place in students over the summer at PV. After analyzing evaluation data, we have seen spectacular growth in students’ knowledge and skills! Here are just a few highlights:

• 76% increase in skills needed to lead a team

• 71% increase in ability to receive feedback without getting defensive

• 68% increase in public speaking skills

• 64% increase in ability to handle conflict calmly and respectfully

• 58% increase in communication skills

• 53% increase in ability to give respectful feedback

Finally, students experienced more HOPE after attending SLI: we saw a 47% increase in the number of students who felt that “I have the ability to do anything I want to do” and a 40% increase in those who said “I believe that I will definitely graduate from high school”!
