When the Student Becomes the Teacher: Teach for America Workshop

In late August, Teach for America hired PV Site Coordinators and recent Summer Leadership youth graduates to facilitate an insightful workshop on “Exploring Leadership.” The TFA community was comprised of different staff from across the country and the focus was on values and leadership. In the usual PV fashion, youth trainers led activities and discussion, exploring what is it to be a leader and why it is important to cultivate leadership among students. The feedback from TFA was amazing and evaluations were incredibly positive. Here are a just a couple of comments from participants:

“You kept it real. I loved being able to speak with all of you. It revived my passion and reminds me WHY I AM HERE.”
