Finding Inspiration from Students

In November, Teach for America hosted the Black and Latino Leadership Summit and invited PV youth staff to discuss student voice in education. Phillip Douglas , Sir Martin and Monique Lobato led a dialogue about some of the struggles facing Black and Latino students and how youth can turn hardships into positive outcomes with the help of supportive teachers. "One thing I took away from today was the power of LISTENING when empowering our youth! I loved the facilitators' motivation and energy and hearing their stories." (TFA participant)
