Through a large grant from the City of Denver's 2A program, Project VOYCE will expand after-school and summer programming for students at Bruce Randolph School in 2015. Many of the activities will be student-driven and will focus on what youth need to support their success and engagement in school. Activities will include a mix of leadership development, academic support, and project-based learning. Students at Bruce Randolph have been given pre-surveys to assess their needs and PV youth staff will use this data to help design responsive programming. Many students are excited to learn more about social justice through arts mediums, such as spoken word, poetry and theater improv. Project VOYCE will partner with two other non--profits (Denver Challenge and Creative Strategies for Change) on this new initiative! Look for more details to come in January.
