Project VOYCE youth are advocating for a seat at the table when it comes to creating a city that values all lives and empowers students to be active and engaged citizens! This month PV partnered with Antwan Jefferson and Anthony Grimes to host a dialogue with Mayor Michael B Hancock. The focus of the discussion was on four key areas: education, employment/jobs, community/sustainability, and safety. Two PV staff, Sir Martin and Uche Ohaya, participated in what we hope is the first of many conversations with elected officials about giving youth an authentic voice in civic life. The Mayor will be holding the first "Cabinet in the Community" on Saturday, February 7th from 9 to 11 am at the PPA Event Center. More details can be found here and we encourage everyone to participate!
