Finding Common Ground at Bruce Challenge Days

At the start of 2015, Project VOYCE collaborated with Challenge Denver to bring Bruce Randolph School 8th graders together for what is called "Challenge Day." This is a one day event that is intended to create unity, awareness and compassion among a class of students. Some messages that emerged at Bruce included: "It's ok to step outside of your comfort zone," "Take the opportunity to dig below the surface and really get to know other students," and "Create space for students to take responsibility for their actions and understand that everyone has a valuable story to share." PV will be following up on the work from Challenge Days as we launch our new after school programming at Bruce! Look for more news of this in February.
