My Brother's Keeper.jpg

The school to prison pipeline, racial profiling, and the ever-widening achievement gap are just a few of the things young men of color must face. President Obama created the "My Brother's Keeper" initiative to help foster leadership and community for young men of color. The City of Denver recently held a MBK Summit and invited Project VOYCE leaders to help facilitate. Our youngest youth trainer, Isaiah Singleton, embarked on his first solo facilitation at this event. Isaiah stated, "It was one of those experiences that really do make you think-- a lot of people do have a leader inside of them, and a lot of youth are willing to change how everyone can live in a positive way. It was really touching." To learn more about My Brothers Keeper Denver, click here. Look for news of a follow up event in late March.
